FUNNY OR OFFENSIVE?

There is a video on youtube called Rent-A-Rican Commercial.  Some people find it funny.  However, others have found it to be offensive. What do you think?

TASK:  Watch the video.  Then write a short paragraph (5-7 sentences) expressing your opinion.  Do you find it funny or offensive?  Why?  One of your sentences should contain a modal (check Unit 8).

We are just beginning the new term. Usually I ask my students at the end of the term what they would have liked to have done in class that was not done. This time I would like to get your feedback at the beginning of the term. Answer the following questions:

1.  What would you like to do this term in the English class? Mention at least 2 SPECIFIC things.
2.  What  would you like to see included in the blog? Mention 2.

TASK: Answer the question in complete sentences. Post your answer as a COMMENT. Don't forget to write your name after your response.

Welcome to English 1102 and to blogging. During this quarter you will have the opportunity to post entries, comment on each others entries, and share some of your work from class. Important information of the course will also be provided. You can also post questions you have about the class. This will be a fun and different way to improve your skills in English.
